Speaking of masserie, staying in one is an absolute must when you’re in Ostuni. These historic farmhouses have been beautifully restored and offer a peaceful retreat amidst the olive groves. It’s an authentic Puglia experience that’ll make your trip even more special. Masseria Il Frantoio with its stunning citrus gardens, olive groves, and an original 15th-century mill is one of the prettiest masserie (farmhouse estates) in the Ostuni area. The masseria is in a perfect location, only 10 minutes between Ostuni and the sea!

How to Get to Ostuni
Ostuni is easy to get to, especially if you’re renting a car. It’s just a short drive from Brindisi Airport (around 40 minutes by car). If you’re traveling by train, Ostuni has its own station. However, the train station is 8 km from the historic center! Therefore, buses are a better option. Buses to Ostuni run from nearby towns like Monopoli (around 40 minutes away by bus) and Brindisi (around 50 minutes away by bus).
How Much Time to Spend in Ostuni
I’d recommend spending at least two to three days in Ostuni. This gives you enough time to explore the historic center, visit some of the surrounding countryside, and relax. However, the Ostuni is a great base for exploring Puglia on a road trip. For instance, Monopoli is only 30 minutes away, Polignano a Mare is around 40 minutes away, and Alberobello is 45 minutes away by car. These are some of the best places to visit in Puglia, Italy!
Best Time to Visit Ostuni
The best time to visit Ostuni is in spring (April to June) or fall (September to October). The weather is mild, and the town isn’t as crowded as in the peak summer months. However, if you’re looking for a summer escape with plenty of sunshine and a lively atmosphere, July and August can also be great times to visit — just be prepared for higher temperatures and more tourists. Regardless of when you go, Ostuni offers a wonderful experience.
