Israel
Israel At A Glance
Israel, a politically disputed country, recognised by 164 of the 192 member states of the United Nation.
Still, Israel is the country of my fondest travel memories. It is a country where I experienced the generosity and friendliness of its people, both Jewish and Palestinians (Israeli Arabs). Like in no other country I have traveled, I was gifted in its streets multiple times.
I traveled to Israel for one month. I strolled Rothschild Boulevard, and my mouth was watering in Carmel food market in Tel Aviv. I stood in an awe in Bahai Gardens in Haifa, visited El-Jazzar Mosque in Akko (Acre), toured Safed, visited all holy sites of the Holy Land, attended a holy mass in Nazareth, prayed on Jesus tomb in the Church of Holy Sepulchre, saw the birthsite of Jesus in Bethlehem (West Bank/Palestinian territories), witnessed Muslim and Jewish prayers in Sanctuary of Abraham in Hebron (West Bank/Palestinian territories), floated in the Dead Sea, hiked Masada in sunrise, etc.
